Case Study: Shirley Warren School

The Project
Shirley Warren School has 233 pupils and needed two play areas, one for the nursery school and one for the pre school. The design focused on equipment which would provide variety and a challenge for each age group.
The sand box and the Abacus / Puzzle Panels were installed to appeal to very young children and as they gain experience and become older they can progress onto the higher, larger equipment.
In the Pre School, we worked with Sutcliffe Play to develop a unique Special Design Unit which met the requirements of the project. We also constructed a unique two tier seating system from timber.

Additional Works
We constructed a range of wooden planters for use around the school, repaired the existing wet pour surface, installed fencing and laid top soil, play sand and turf.
